Temporary Title Removal: Catalog Maintenance on Sheet Music Plus and Sheet Music Direct
Our product teams are carrying out routine catalog maintenance across Sheet Music Plus and Sheet Music Direct. As part of this work, a small subset of titles will be temporarily removed from public pages ahead of an upcoming Google update. This is a proactive step to keep both platforms healthy and performing well in search, and will help all titles get found more easily over time.
Will my titles be affected?
The criteria are intentionally narrow. A title must meet all three of the following to be included:
- Has been live for more than one year
- Has never been purchased
- Has had no meaningful customer engagement in the past two years
If any of your titles have ever been purchased or received customer engagement, they are not affected.
What should I expect?
Affected titles will be offline for approximately 1 to 2 months while this work is completed. Afterward, they will be restored in a way that sets them up for better search visibility going forward.
What if I think a title was removed incorrectly?
If you believe one of your titles has been affected and feel it does not meet the criteria above, please reach out and we will take a look.
